Manuel E. Menendez, III M.S.
CEO

In 1997, Mr. Menendez was awarded a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from St. Thomas University, and has experience owning and operating healthcare businesses and other businesses throughout South Florida. He enjoys the reputation of a successful entrepreneur and businessman and is known for developing effective, high-quality wellness programs. Mr. Menendez is also experienced in financial and business management.

Dr. Angel L. Junquera, Psy.D.
Executive Vice President

Dr. Junquera holds a Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology and has years of experience treating clients with mental health and substance abuse disorders. His experience includes program development and consultation; mental health assessment and treatment; outpatient and residential programming; child, adolescent, adult, and family services; administration; operations; policy development; risk management; marketing and public relations. He also serves on and chairs various mental health committees and boards.

Eduardo Lacasa, Esq.
Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Lacasa has a Juris Doctorate and many years of experience in litigation, healthcare, administrative, and corporate law with the firm of Ruden McClosky. Today, he owns and operates multiple companies throughout Florida, serves as chairperson for the state’s Boxing Commission and has served on numerous boards throughout Florida. Mr. Lacasa is experienced in contract development, negotiations, policy development, regulatory compliance, litigation, and risk management.

Leslie Lynch, M.S.
Administrative Director

Ms. Lynch obtained her Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling in 1997 from St. Thomas University and has extensive experience treating mental health disorders and substance abuse. Her qualifications include expertise in program development and consultation; mental health assessment and treatment; outpatient and residential programming; child, adolescent, adult, and family services; administration; billing; records compliance, monitoring and auditing. Currently, she serves on several committees throughout Florida.

Dr. Antonio De Filippo, MD
Medical Director

Dr. Antonio De Filippo is triple board certified in Psychiatry, Psychosomatic Medicine, and Addiction Medicine He is active in many areas of the medical industry and is experienced in both the treatment and management aspects of the field.
Dr. De Filippo began his career as a double major at the University of Miami where he achieved a Bachelor in Science with honors. He continued his academic career at the University of South Florida where he earned his medical degree. He returned to Miami to complete his residency training at University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. De Filippo currently is an adjunct professor of psychopharmacology at Nova University Medical School.
Dr. De Filippo is an active physician in his private practice in Broward County. He has been or is currently the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, and/or on the Board of Advisors to a number of institutions including Archways Community Mental Health Center, Susan B. Anthony Community Mental Health Center, and Broward County Health Planning Council. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of South Florida Psychiatric Services.
Dr. De Filippo is a speaker for several major corporations and is frequently requested as a consultant and trainer at national medical advisory meetings. He is fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish.

Terry Clower
Director of Admissions

Terry brings 30 years of living in recovery along with a decade of admissions experience to our team, and is often our first point of contact with perspective clients. Terry and his admissions team will welcome families and patients and explain our unique approach to treatment. His team will also explain how to navigate a complex insurance landscape, the details of each individual’s benefit coverage and for those without insurance how financial arrangements can be affordably structured for most. As a former Director of Admissions at a large treatment center, he understands the benefit of working for a smaller center with more individualized care and trust building between staff and clients.

Dr. Akiva M Daum, MD
Director of Addiction Services

Akiva M Daum, MD received his Bachelors of Science in microbiology and molecular biology from the University of Central Florida and his medical degree from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. Dr. Daum went on to complete his residency in general psychiatry and addiction fellowship through Boston University School of Medicine. He currently serves as the Director of Addiction Services for Chrysalis Health where he is working to develop medication assisted treatment services for patients with substance use disorders and expanding upon already existing addiction services. He also serves as a psychiatrist for Kimmel Psychology. In both practice settings, he has the opportunity to work with patients of a variety of backgrounds and mental health conditions using innovative and evidence based techniques.

Dr. Daum’s special interests include program development and ways to improve access to treatment for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. He has studied and implemented the use of the shared medical appointment model, treatment of patients with co-occurring chronic pain and addiction and the use of medication assisted treatments for substance use disorders. Previously, in his roles as Director of Behavior Health Clinical and Educational Services at the Broward Faculty Group Practice and as an Assistant Professor of psychiatry and behavioral health through Florida International University, he worked to develop addiction services for the University and to offer education to current and future health professionals regarding prevention, recognition, and treatment of substance use disorders and addictive behaviors.

In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Daum has had extensive experience in didactic teaching and clinical supervision of psychiatrists, therapists, medical students, residents and addiction psychiatry fellows since residency training. He has previously presented at multiple national and international conferences including the American Psychiatric Association Annual meeting, the International Conference on Opioids, the annual meeting for the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, the state conference for the Massachusetts Association of PAs, and the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society. He has previously presented grand rounds and formal lectures to multiple training programs and institutions. He has facilitated program development at multiple sites throughout his career including the redesign of the Adult Dual Diagnosis Partial Hospital Program including assisting in the formation of a mental health track at Bournewood Health Systems, a Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation protocol and a program to increase the access to gunlocks at the Bedford Veterans Affairs hospital. Dr. Daum served as the co-chair of the Massachusetts psychiatric society’s alcohol and substance abuse committee and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Florida Psychiatric Association, and American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General and Addiction Psychiatry.

Vivian Demille, Esq. Director
Business Strategy & Corporate Compliance Officer

Ms. Demille is an experienced businesswoman and attorney with many years of experience as an executive for a wide variety of mental health, social service, and criminal justice programs. She is highly qualified in the areas of financial planning and management, contract development and negotiations, policy development, human resources, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Additionally, she operated her own law practice in South Florida.

Vince Vazquez
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Vazquez brings over 30 years of progressive experience in finance and operations management within startups and global organizations. With his strong suits in developing and implementing financial controls and processes that drive operational efficiencies and productivity, Mr. Vazquez has played a key role in launching various successful startups in the last 20 years. As CFO for a prominent behavioral health provider, he has been instrumental in doubling revenues within four years, while dramatically increasing the bottom line for the behavioral health agency.

Jennifer Blue Rozman
Chief Human Resources Officer

Ms. Rozman has over 20 years experience in healthcare, both as a clinician and administrator. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and earned a Master of Science in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. In addition, Jennifer is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute and as a Health Counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Elizabeth Potts
Chief Administrative Officer

Ms. Potts brings over a decade of experience working in the private mental health and substance abuse treatment sector.  A fierce advocate for those suffering with mental health and substance use disorders, she serves on several non-profit and professional boards throughout the state of Florida. Her expertise includes call center development, business development and marketing, staff training and development, contract negotiations, administration, and compliance.

Terry Link, BA, CAP, IRRC, CMHP, NLP
Director of Operations

Mr. Link has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work, and has obtained his CAP, IRRC, and CMHP, NLP, certifications, bringing over 20 years of experience specializing in Family Counseling and Addictions. His experience includes overseeing the start up, transitioning, and management of modality and work release programs for the Department of Corrections throughout Florida & Illinois. Mr. Link has a successful record of leading performance improvements over a broad range of businesses with a demonstrated ability to deliver strategic, financial and operational excellence while restructuring and building strong, motivated teams. In addition, Mr. Link has started recovery groups both locally and internationally. An ardent supporter of third world missions, he has lead many, Medical, Construction and Disaster teams to Albania, Haiti, Costa Rica, Peru, and Columbia. He is a high energy, hands-on, results oriented leader with a passion for giving back through community service.

Cortina Peters
Clinical Director

Cortina Peters, Clinical Director for Harmony Hills Treatment Ranch, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Board Certified Professional counselor, EMDR Trained, Certified Life Coach, Florida MHC Qualified Supervisor, and an AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator. Ms.Peters completed both her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Ms.Peters started her career in the field of sexual health education and wellness over 17 years ago. Ms. Peters has been providing professional counseling services since 2008. Some of the past employers include (CAP) The Comprehensive Aids Program, Planned Parenthood of South Florida, South University, and Orlando Recovery Center.

In 2009 Ms. Peters was appointed Director of Training and Clinical Operations for 3rd Step Wellness Group, Inc. overseeing 2 programs in 3 counties. Following that, overseeing the entire Florida division, Ms. Peters decided to take a position as Regional Director for Memory Training Centers of America the largest national provider providing memory training services to individuals with mild to moderate memory impairment. From 2010 to 2014 Ms. Peters was an adjunct professor for South University teaching in the Undergrad Psychology Department. Through her private consulting firm Boundless Living, she has helped with the startup of numerous Substance abuse facilities in South and Central Florida. Because of her dedication to the field and passion to help individuals in need, for two years she provided pro bono services to individuals dealing with addiction who were underinsured or uninsured.

Ms. Peters is an active member of FMHCA where she sits on several committees. Since 2010, Ms. Peters has focused all of her attentions and efforts to the field of addiction and recovery. Specialty areas of Ms. Peters include but are not limited to Addiction, Relationship issues, sexuality, intimacy issues, and mood disorders. Empowering individuals to become and be better versions of themselves is a passion of Ms. Peters. This passion was the springboard that caused her to launch Boundless Living Coaching, Counseling, & Consulting a counseling firm aimed at helping individual live to their optimum potential.
